Drawn Together: Drawing with Dad at the Kitchen Counter
A Cartoonisan Post – From the Desk of PJ Zin
Drawn Together is a collection of drawings my son and I make sitting side-by-side at the kitchen counter (I’ve added them to the Galleries section).
Sometimes it’s the only real quality time I get with him after a long day at work before bedtime.
Other times, it’s something we do together during a quiet weekend at home.
One night, it was simple: a unicorn!

We clear the counter, sit down (always in the same spots!) with a piece of paper and some markers, then he decides what we’re drawing and off we go.
We’ll draw the animals he loves or we build our own landscapes around them.
For these ones, we drew the African savannah – I drew the giraffe and the zebra. He drew everything else.
These aren’t my best drawings.
But they’re definitely my favourite.
I’ll keep adding more as we make them.
